Church Planting in Kutztown
The leadership of Redeemer BFC has been praying for God to show them a location for the daughter church plant. At the same time, Kutztown Bible Fellowship Church, only eight miles away from Redeemer BFC, has been working with the Board of Church Health of the Bible Fellowship Church to explore their best options for a reviving their church. After several discussions together and much prayer, the members of Kutztown BFC have agreed to close and pursue a replant in the community of Kutztown with Shawn as the Church Planter. Redeemer BFC and Church Extension Ministries will be developing a church planting plan starting with a demographic study of the town of Kutztown to discover the needs of the town and how to intentionally create a church culture that will meet those needs in the name of Jesus Christ. Kutztown is a college town which gives it an added challenge since the practical needs of the students (who aren’t permanent residents) are different than the needs of the people who live in the town year round. It will take much prayer and planning to determine the most effective way to plant a healthy, stable church in Kutztown.

Partner with Shawn
You can be a part of the Topton church plant by supporting Shawn in prayer and through giving. Shawn needs to raise $5,800 dollars a month in order for this to take place. About $2,000 of that will come from several BFC churches who have committed to giving towards Shawn’s support. Shawn is looking for individual donors to commit to giving monthly for the next five years or so until the church plant graduates as a particular Bible Fellowship Church.
Most importantly, Shawn would like your prayers for this ministry. Shawn clearly sees how God has led him to the ministry of church planting. He said, “It’s exciting to build from the ground up and see how God works through it. I have a heart for the lost. I want to love on people and share Jesus Christ with them.”
